1. How do I get fewer search results?
   If you receive too many results and want to narrow your search, please consider eliminating few words or removing noise words, such as:
1. in English: a, an, about, and, of, or, in, it, the, with, you, etc.
2. en Español: a, con, de, el, ellos, en, para, por, sin, y, etc.

Search Tips

1. Check your spelling.



2. Use quotes around terms to search for an exact phrase.



3. Please avoid using the keywords: Puerto Rico, P.R., Puerto Rican and/or Puertorriquenos(as) within you search, all entries are related to Puerto Rico and accordingly contain these keywords.



4. Use significant words. Eliminate noise words such as:
1. in English: the, an, about, and, of, or, in, it, with, you, etc.
2. en Español: de, el, ellos, en, a, con, para, por, sin, y, etc.


5. Use words of three characters or more.



6. Avoid using special characters, punctuation or wildcards
such as %, $, /, #, -, _, \, [, ] and *. Escape to Puerto Rico does not use wildcards or an asterisk (*) to broaden a search. The system allow browaden search itself, if you are looking for "casa" the search results will return: casa, casas, casamiento, casandra, etc.


7. Try singular words instead of plural.



8. Rephrase your search using synonyms of your search terms.
