Worth It

My wife, in-laws and I went to this place after being referred to it by the owner of another food place (where we had intended to eat but then realized that it was closing time there). First off, this is where the Pina Colada was born and let me tell you, it was spectacular. The food was incredible. I had some chicken and plantain dish. It was delicious (I had never eaten plantain before that). My wife had a nacho dish that was irresistible. My in-laws and I kept picking at it because it was huge and we wanted to help dispose of it (what a treat). My in-laws each had fish. It look good and they both raved about how tasty it was. I'm not a fish person but from the looks of it, I was tempted to try. I was the only person who had dessert, a triple milk cake. It was unbelievable. So moist and delicious. We were all pleased with the food and service. And the ambiance is enchanting, as the restaurant is set in an opening in the middle of the building, so that you can look up at the sky. It's almost as if the building was a hollow square and we were in the empty middle of it. But they also have an indoor area that is air-conditioned. We chose to enjoy the natural setting. I would recommend this place without hesitation and feel fortunate enough to have stumbled upon another unforgettable eatery (Ostra Cosa being the other). P.S. Old San Juan is AWESOME!

Great Place to Eat
by Vivian Jackson from Atlanta, GA USA
This was a great little 17th century restaurant that had lots of personality and the food was great. We had the Mofongo and a creole skirt steak over it and it was simply delicious and the pina coladas were out of this world they used Don Q rum and I made sure I brought some it was just great. I plan on buying the exact ingredients when I go back so I can repeat the drink when I am at home entertaining with friends.
